About the IWHS Parent Teacher Organization

Incarnate Word High School PTO is a group of 20 active, dedicated parents supported by the Principal TBA, Faculty Representative TBA, and Samantha Ramos of UIW Business Office.  Serving as an executive board member or committee chair sets an example of service and leadership for our daughters, builds lasting friendships, and promotes the mission of Incarnate Word High School.  We depend on all parent volunteers to organize and execute the many traditions and special events for administration, faculty, staff and students.
Your ideas and enthusiasm for the Shamrock community are always welcome.  Research states there is a direct correlation between young adults’ academic success and parent involvement.  Your daughter’s high school years are a precious and short time in her life.  PTO encourages you to become a special part of the memories she is making.

Our Goals for 2018-2019
  • To promote the mission that the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word began 137 years ago both within our school and to potential families choosing a Catholic High School for their daughter(s).

  • To promote giving back to local causes through our time and talents. Through volunteering we create a community/family that is stronger and accomplishes great things together and leads by example. Mother Teresa: “I can do things You cannot, You can do things I cannot, Together We can do GREAT things.”

  • To promote College preparedness through programs aimed at establishing relationships with Regional Admissions Officers and local Alumni Clubs, as well as offering  guidance in the financial aid and scholarship process and providing scholarships to graduating seniors entering college.

  • To continue the updates of the campus through various projects.
